A portrait birthday gift for my brother

Some artists draw using the grid method. Thus they can perfectly copy a certain picture.
For me I like to do it in freehand but still use the guidelines for anatomy.

See the strong anime cartoony influence. It never goes away.

After that I then put in a collage app to compare the difference. 🤭

Looks kinda realistic now.

I had fun shading the skin. But I need a reallllllyy fine brush to do the details right.
Running low now with white acrylic paint.

A lil lighting tweak at an editting app did the job.

A D.I.Y soap sculpting rush Art project

Today I woke up at 8am and my brother told me he has a project that was due today around 1:30pm. Mind you I still have a daughter to feed, bathe and etc., He told me not to make it too nice.

Anyways I still did it since I am not always at home and will go back to UAE soon.
So 1 laundry bar soap cut in half and joint with water and toothpick. If you see how cakes are made then you will see they also added sticks to stabilise the form.
A small knife is what I used to carve out the lil taxi car. I use the tip of the toothpick to do outlines.

Sorry I know it doesn't look finished but I was suppressed by time. It should have been smoothen some more and be dried under the sun for a couple of hours.

Anyways my brother said when he went home he got a 100 for it. Yey! 😊
